Transplant Games Update – Monday, 8/2/10

The final results from Monday are in! Here are all of our medalists from yesterday:

Heart recipient Athena Shry won a silver medal in the 1500 walkrace and a gold medal in the 100m race.

Heart recipient Olivia Strama won a bronze medal in the softball throw, a silver medal in the 25m run and a bronze medal in the long jump.

Heart recipient Kathy Siciliano won a silver medal in tennis singles.

Liver recipient Hilary Hoagwood won a bronze medal in tennis singles.

Kidney recipient George Montogomery won a bronze medal in the 1500m run.

Kidney recipient Emily Biondi won a bronze medal in the discus, a silver medal in the long jump and a gold medal in the high jump.

Kidney recipient Marilyn Zuckerman won a bronze  medal in the 100m and a silver medal in the softball throw.

Kidney-pancreas recippient Sharon Masters won a gold medal in golf.

Kidney recipient Roy DeGrange won a gold medal in badminton.

Congrats to all our medalists and congrats to all of Team Maryland again for working so hard in all their events! Good luck to everyone competing in volleyball, golf, tennis and bowling today!

Lauren Muskauski is the communications associate at The Living Legacy Foundation. She heads up many community outreach initiatives and projects, with a focus on middle school, high school and college outreach.
