The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland facilitates the donation and recovery of human organs and tissues for transplantation and research in the state of Maryland, with the exception of Prince George’s, Charles, and Montgomery counties, which are covered by Washington Regional Transplant Community.
As one of Maryland’s federally designated organ procurement organizations (OPO), The LLF provides advocacy, family support and comprehensive public and professional education, and is committed to organizational excellence to enhance the organ and tissue donation and distribution processes.
THE MARYLAND DONOR REGISTRY
Donate Life Maryland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and enhancing lives by registering organ, eye and tissue donors. DLMD was established in 2007 by the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland, the Medical Eye Bank of Maryland and Washington Regional Transplant Community.
In addition to having a heart on your driver’s license or carrying a signed donor card, Donate Life Maryland now allows you to express your legal commitment to becoming an organ, eye and tissue donor securely on line. The Registry guarantees your wishes will be honored when you die.
Sign up today to become an organ, eye and tissue donor. Through your generous gifts, you can save as many as nine lives through organ donation, enhance another 50 through tissue donation, give the gift of renewed vision to two people and change the lives of millions through disease research and therapy.
